Stereo Deluxe's music is in constant motion. Their self-titled debut release is polished power pop at its finest reminiscent of nothing; yet familiar. Its music made for speeding, dancing, running, racing, walking, yelling, stomping and living. Since their inception in 1998 Stereo Deluxe has been crafting their sound and is moving full speed ahead.

On February 16, 2006, Stereo Deluxe issued Stereo Deluxe. In the wake of its release, the band has become one of Indys hottest live acts. They have also gained the support of the local music media. Their time is now. But things werent always in motion.

"All I need is time and Ill be fine." [Too Much Time]

The guys spent their formative years carving out a niche for themselves through various name changes, house parties, youth centers, and playing hundreds of shows in any neck of the woods that would have them. They gained most of their notoriety when they were under the moniker Unreel. Oddly enough, reality did eventually sink in and decisions regarding the bands future and its purpose began to surface.

"Oh no, Im in over my head and though Id rather be dead Im alive." [Leaving for Spain]

In the summer of 2004 the band was at a crossroads. Faced with trying to separate the realities of their adolescent rock and roll dreams from determining whether or not it was worth it to move forward. The consensus? The group banded together and made their boldest move yet. They started over.

Entering the studio in December 2004 the band began working with Mark Moran (veteran producer in Indianapolis) who helped mold what is now their signature sound. It was in this time that Stereo Deluxe managed to tighten their skills as a band and give their music a chance to breathe and take on a life of its own.

"You Keep Me Waiting, Im anticipating revolution." [Revolution]

And the wheels were in motion. In 2005, Stereo Deluxe were the grand prize winners of Indianapolis Battle of the Bands and followed up their rise with the making of finely crafted songs like Uncle Sam, Too Much Time, and Leaving For Spain that eventually landed on their CD. These songs have taken the guys light years away from their humble beginnings when they started jamming together at 13 years of age.

In March of 2005, the band began to play out live and create a buzz with their new material which ultimately resulted in a contract with Indie 500 Records. Thus began the making of Stereo Deluxe. The result is a CD that truly has something to prove and never pulls up. Ten masterly crafted songs that take you on an emotional trip that leaves the listener wanting more. It took eight years for the band to land where they are today. It will be exciting to see where they land in eight more years.
